The Department of Classical and Modern Languages and the Latin American and Latino Studies Program, College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Louisville, proudly announce the 33rd edition of the “Reel” Latin America(n) Film Festival, a celebration that has brought the voices of Spanish and Latin American cinema to our community for more than three decades.
The festival’s title, “Reel,” plays on both the material history of film reels and the presentation of real stories—authentic narratives that reveal the resilience, struggles, and aspirations of communities across Latin America and Spain. The 33rd edition brings five new features spanning Brazil, Spain, the United States, the Dominican Republic, and Venezuela, continuing the festival’s commitment to exploring shared cultural questions across the Spanish- and Portuguese-speaking world.
Todas las funciones son gratuitas y abiertas al público. Todos son bienvenidos.
Las funciones se realizan en dos sedes del campus: el Floyd Theater (Student Activities Center) los jueves a las 5:30 p.m., y 104W Ekstrom Library los viernes a las 12:00 p.m. Estos dos horarios facilitan la asistencia de estudiantes, profesores y la comunidad.
